Edward F. Trahan, age 67, of Newark, DE passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Edward was born in Mesa, AZ on March 27, 1948.
Edward attended the University of Delaware for three years and then technical school. He and his wife, Susan, were the proprietors of a family-owned HVAC contracting business for 35 years until ill health forced him to retire. Edward had a passion for reading, particularly history books. He was a long-time, active member of the Wilmington Trail Club. Edward also belonged to two sports car clubs, where he enjoyed riding around in his “girlfriend,” Mazda Miata.
Edward is survived by his wife, Susan Trahan; son, Erik E. Trahan of Hockessin, DE; sisters: Lillian Kindig of Milford, DE, Marguerite Trahan of Dover, DE, and Annette Hodges of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers: Clifford Trahan of Leander, TX, Michael Trahan of Conroe, TX, and Anthony Trahan of Centennial Aurora, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
Edward is predeceased by his parents, Robert C., Sr. and Lillian (Cadena) Trahan. He was also predeceased by his brother Robert C. Trahan, Jr.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at R. T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private. To send condolences, visit www.rtfoard.com.
